...on MSN yesterday was the feature "Lifestyle Hair Handbook" with a link on "How to Style Asian Hair."
SCORE!
I found this cute layered 'do {although she doesn't exactly look Asian to me, but I'm not throwin' stones...} I've decided that I will no longer be Lady Godiva for Halloween {totally facetious} so it's going to be quite okay for me to chop at least a good chunk of these long locks off.
THURSDAY TO DO LIST:
□ schedule long overdue hair appointment
□ complete craft project
□ remember to eat lunch before 3pm today

Oh I am sooooo excited! I think you will look really cute with a style cut into your hair!
update:
stink!
well, i had to be waitlisted... i think my "regular" (if you call every 6-8 months regular) salon is going through some transitioning. one of my stylists is gone and now they only have the owner working this saturday. this won't happen this weekend, but hopefully i'll have a new 'do this month!
I can't wait. That cut is adorable!
She looks South Asian to me and they often have a Caucasian hairtype just like Westerners. Blondes often have fine but dense hair, dark haired and red haired people usually have thick, coarse but sparse amount of hair. Mongolid/Oriental/East Asian hairtype like mine won't have that "swing" and bend in it no matter how many layers and graduations I have cut into it. The fewer the better but it does help to take some of the weight off. I have layers and graduations at the bottom and a U Shaped cut.
